So, Marcus and I went to the IU basketball game last night. And, as we are used to by this point in the season, they lost. It was actually a good first half and then the Hoosiers didn't really seem to make it back out of the locker room after half time...
The one thing I can tell all of you Hoosier fans out there is that the spirit is still alive and well at Assembly Hall. I had heard such negative things about this year: the students not being loyal to their team, the university couldn't sell any tickets, Assembly Hall was empty...blah blah blah. Well, the place wasn't packed- the top balcony was pretty empty but the rest of the seats were full and on their feet for their team! It is still the same crowd- crazy students, old fans in their red sweaters and radios, and the same cheers I-N-D-I-A-N-A... This was what made me a fan in the first place...
So, even if our team has seen MUCH better days, the spirit is still alive and well. I know I'll keep my fingers crossed for Crean and his boys next season...
